Assessing the Impacts of Future Global Air Pollution Scenarios: Implications for HTAP2, AMAP, and Global IAMs

February 17-19 2016, Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, Potsdam, Germany

Meeting Agenda

The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, Germany, will host a TF HTAP workshop 17-19 February 2016.

The focus of the workshop will be the assessment of health and ecosystem impacts of future emissions scenarios. In the HTAP2 context, this will mean discussing the application of updated source/receptor relationships from the 2008-2010 experiments to the 2010-2050 emissions scenarios and estimating the health and ecosystem effects (i.e., putting it all together). In this workshop, we also hope to connect to other health and ecosystem impacts work at the global scale, such as the ISI-MIP project at PIK and the community contributing to IPCC WG2 in AR6. Thus, the workshop will strive to make recommendations regarding both near-term work under TF HTAP and longer-term work to inform IPCC.
